Description: REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, MAY 23, 2008 -- Limited to 20 participants. CONFIRMATION OF REGISTRATION WILL BE SENT. The Great Books Shared Inquiry Leader Workshop—Level I offers concrete, step-by-step instruction in how to use Shared Inquiry discussion and interpretive activities with Junior Great Books materials and other text. This two-day workshop prepares you to begin leading Shared Inquiry activities with students of all ability levels. You will learn: • Questioning strategies that keep discussions lively and focused • How to use follow-up questions to help students develop their own ideas • Techniques to involve students of all ability levels • Before-and-after discussion activities that reinforce good reading and discussion.
